Canine Pet Care
Your Adult Dog
Once your dog has reached one year of age, it is now considered an adult dog. Hopefully your dog has been well trained by this time and has become a happy and healthy member of your family. It is important that your adult dog be examined at least once yearly now to keep them in the best health possible. There are also several things you need to consider at this point like switching from puppy food to a high quality adult dog food (we recommend Science Diet) and continued preventative medicine and healthcare for your pet.
We typically recommend a once a year physical exam and vaccinations called a Canine Annual Exam and twice yearly routine parasite screenings. We also recommend keeping your dog on once monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We have several product lines to choose from and we are happy to help you choose which is right for you and your pet.
