A Cornerstone of Care

Vaccines play a crucial role in keeping your pets healthy and safe. Vaccines shield your pets from harmful diseases like rabies, distemper, and parvovirus, some of which can be life-threatening. Treating diseases can be costly, stressful, and not always successful. Pet vaccinations in Mobile are a simple, cost-effective way to prevent illnesses in the first place. Starting vaccines as a puppy or kitten ensures your pet develops strong immunity from a young age, giving them the best chance at a long, healthy life.

Compliance and Safety for Other Animals and People

Vaccinating your pet helps prevent the spread of diseases to other pets in your community and, in some cases, to humans (like rabies). Many areas require certain vaccines, like rabies, for pets to be properly licensed and for public health safety.

At Moffett Road Veterinary Clinic, we provide comprehensive vaccination care for pets at various life stages. Here’s an overview of our vaccination protocols:

Puppies

We initiate the vaccination series for puppies at six weeks old, administering vaccines every three weeks until they reach sixteen weeks.

Kittens

Kittens begin their vaccinations at six weeks, with subsequent vaccines given every three weeks until they are twelve weeks old.

Adults Dogs

We recommend the rabies vaccine and the DHLPP vaccine, which protects against Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus. Based on you and your pet’s specific needs, we may recommend additional vaccines.

Adult Cats

Along with the rabies vaccine, we recommend the FVRCP/FeLk vaccine, a Distemper/Leukemia combo.

These guidelines ensure your pets receive appropriate pet vaccinations in Mobile and maintain optimal health throughout their lives.
